I basically need to know how to get easy access to the following wires:

side light
12v on ignition

When installing the chip, would it just replace the sensor or put in parallel? I like the idea of the on/off switch. I travel to work long distance and wouldn't like the chip to be active during that time because it uses enough fuel as it is! If I did install the chip with a switch would it not mess...
