I Just cleaned mine engine the last weekend. I sprayed diesel, then water, and finally an thin coat of diesel to have all shine. Of course my engine wasn't too dirty. But for extreme dirty engines you can use Castrol degreaser, then water. I used a compressor air gun to spary everything. Just make s...

Here you can see the pic of the tool, and also you can find the drawing in case you'd like to get from a machine shop.

Thanks, I've tried with the plastic polish with hand aplication, but not with good results. My headlamps are in worst condition. I'll try to sand it with 600 grade, and then I'll try with an orbital polisher.

Thanks

Headlamp Fades

Hi, I have a Nubira and my wife has a Matiz. With the matiz I've noticed that the headlamps are fading because off the sun. Is there any proven procedure to restore them? Some sanding/polishg?

Thanks

If the ECu doesn't receive the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) you CEL will came up. The ECU need this signal to adjust the idle speed.

I've replaced once in my nubira, since the plastic shaft broke up.

fornt pads are like 50%. When I changed last time (2 years ago) I didn't feel any difference with the change.

I'll chek the pads and then I'll try to adjust the rod. If i get no difference I'll supect that my pump is faulty.

I checked the rear shoes and are fine (almost new) and front pads have enough material yet. Altough even in the front pads were worn out the pedal travel length shouldn't be different. The pads do not affect the travel of the pedal. The rear shoes DO affect. About the braking fluid I've have not cha...

Brakes Nubira II

I've noticed that my brake pedal needs to be pushed farther to make te car stop, than it used to be. I've adjusted the rear shoes, but the problem continues. Even the brake needs to be pushed harder the brakes stop the car normally. I noticed that attached to the brake pedal is the pump rod, and it ...

Re: Engine Mount

I don't think that your problem is related with the mounts. The mounts do not avoid the vibrations. The vibration at idle could be spark plugs/cables/management related.

How old are you plugs, cables??
