tierod ends
Is it true that tierod ends in Lanos are the same as in Pontiac Lemans (89-92)?

Well, the good news is, I fixed the pan and it's not leaking. The bad news is, I think I need a new transmission. It drives, but it's hardly pulling in first gear and it's getting worse ( I think it's called slipping ). Looks to me like somebody is going to be looking for a used tranny. :( :x...

transmission pan fix
Driving on the highway at about 75 MPH I hit a piece of metal lying on
the road. I made it home fine but when I went to the car later, most
tranny fluid was on the ground, and I found a small hole in the pan.
Can this be welded (steel?-aluminum?)

synthetic oil
A few days ago I decided to switch to synthetic oil in my motor.
I used Royal Purple 5W30.
I don't know, call me crazy, but the car seems a bit faster now or
maybe it's just me.
Has anybody switched to synthetic and noticed a difference?

I finished fixing my car today. I ended up replacing 2 exhaust valves. The good news is the engine seems to be running fine, the bad and the ugly news is that now the water pump is leaking. After adjusting the timing belt I tightened those little water pump bolts well, so either something happened t...

lanos head removal
I am looking for a guide on how to remove the head
in my 2001 Lanos. I am having problems on the left
side of the motor (power steering pump and the rest
of that funky bunch). Thanks
