Re: Has everyone quit this site?
To be honest Puddle, I probably would have kept the nubira if I could afford the repairs... I LOVE that car... It's not the fastest car, it's not the best handling car... but it was my favorite looking car... The hatchback and feel of the car was just awesome. I do have to say I LOVE the handling of...

Re: Has everyone quit this site?
I stopped by to see what everyone is up to. I no longer own my Daewoo, I now own a Mazda. It was a bittersweet day when I traded it in. Things had just become too costly because of my own stupidity when I was younger and how I mistreated the car. I was fixing the suspension every 2-3 months, and rep...

Re: engine X20sed
Only thing i could think of is check the timing again, if the timing components are off by even one tooth it can mess things up... My 2.0L was Idling fine until it warmed up then it decided to start surging and be less responsive at low RPM... Turned out both intake and exhaust were off by just 1 to...

Re: SE or CDX
Thank you Aneab you have been a God send for me. Your advice is clear concise and right on. I understand your point about jacking up the engine it would be my luck that the nut would fall into the timing components. So basically I would jack up until the jack and motor were snug and no need to jack...

Re: SE or CDX
It's honestly much easier if you do use the jack to hold up the motor, but if you're going to do that, make sure you use a piece of wood over the jack as to not dent or bend anything under the motor (like your oil pan) After it's up you can take off the motor mount and slide the timing belt cover up...

Re: SE or CDX
Picture of valve cover with old gasket attached (hope I did it right). What you describe would be the valve cover kit minus the spark plug gaskets. What I did buy was the valve cover gasket only. There was no grommets for the bolts holding it down. They seem to be in good condition and still attach...

Re: SE or CDX
Let me start by saying this is by far the best forum for Daewoos. Very knowledgeable people friendly to boot. As I delve into this little project more questions pop up. If you don't mind putting up with me for a little while longer have a couple of issues/questions. 1) The parts store gave me a cho...

Nubira: Need Stock airbox
I need the stock air box for a Nubira I'm not sure if they're different from 99 to 00 and newer but i can't seem to find a complete one at the junk yard that isn't cracked to hell... doesn't have to be perfect just no cracks on the top side and be able to clamp shut! haha =)

Re: SE or CDX
I had a tough time with the cam POS sensor on mine, but I think with the cam cover and the belt cover off you shouldn't have tooo much trouble. It would only matter if you had a different sized motor, but the 2.0L is the same between the SE and the CDX (and the 2.2 from the leganza) If you're in a r...
