Anyone interested in a used Lanos? I have a 2000 SX model...needs paint...clear peeling...interior decent other than driver seat...runs great...5speed 1.6 liter. I also have a set of wiseco 8.8:1 comp forged pistons and a holset h1c turbo and a used intercooler...pressure tested... and a turbo xs rf...

How much will the stock 1.6 rods handle then? 250 was the approximation for my first build. would they do 300 or 350? if so then I'd just need those arp pieces from you. I was looking at how much power the little 5 speed can handle as well...I've heard 200 will destroy it? If so what is a good upgra...

I have another lanos now. should be getting the turbo on within the next six months:) I have everything I need except for forged rods unless someone can tell me the stock rods will handle 250 hp if they are shotpeened and nitrided?

182,000 miles now...but car is currently sitting until I can get it legally registered due to a salvage title from a wreck two years ago.

see the square hole on the bottom of the lever...that should line up with the metal piece where the square part is punched downward...slide the new lever on till that metal part locks into the hole on the plastic lever.

My lanos did the same thing with the same size tire upgrade. I found after a few thousand miles that the rear tires were wearing signifigantly more on the inside edges. that was my problem with oversteer...i also noticed the tires "following" the grooves in the road.

lookin for cheap lanos bad motor/tranny ok just no body damage and clear title please.

How are the wires to your tps sensor? I had a similar problem and my solution involved finding a break in the wires for the tps...the wire looked intact but was broken inside.

Ok, where are you located so we can help you better? and then, I believe the vauxhaul engine code for a direct swap would be x16ex or x16dx or something similar to that I know the x's are used and the 16 remains the same just not sure of the letter after the 16. anyway, get us your location, type of...
