Time to change the acc belt squeels and loads of belt dust in the engine bay. Thought this would be an easy fix, it's a woo not on you life. fixed the prob. I looked in the medicine cabinet and found a medicine dropper used to give kids meds. looked to be the right diameter got a knife and started trimming and it worked on the second try way better than anything you can buy at the parts store.

had to get a new fuel pump so before i installed it thought it would be a good idea to swap out the filter. had issues getting the disconnect tool in due to clearance issues. i had read somewhere before cut the filter off and then the disconnect tool slides in and viola. I tried to turn it over today and nothing I smelled fuel afterwords just not firing up would that still point to a fuel prob.

finally got it fixed. got an o-ring from the dealer and the ring seal for the thermostat itself from ebay. you can't dealers can't get them anymore from what they told me the seal was done away with when the plastic housings came out. the part number for the ringseal is 90096383. http://cgi.ebay.com...

I may try the rtv for the thermostat side of things not sure if it will work since the gasket is supposed to take up some room on the outside lip of the thermostat by itself it just kind of moves around in the housing as for the head side of things I have to round up a gasket it's not an o-ring it's...

torque and angle torque
The confusing thing is the angular torque. If the initial 25nm or 18 ft lbs is met then the angular torque could be off but how can you re-torque the angle portion of it. D seals
Yeah the d seals got replaced and the engine was cleaned up and I can see where It's seeping from the head I'm still hoping re torquing seals it up.

Noticed that my woo is leaking fluid since its been sitting waiting on some parts. Looked today and it's coming from the thermostat housing. best way to torque
So should I loosen all the bolts then re-torque them or loosen one at a time then torque them. Also will I have to put a new valve cover gasket on when I pull the cover. One more thing do those specs cover a 2000 1.6 the diagram says to 1999 not sure if they are the same. Thanks for the info thus far.
