The setup you needed/need is...
Saab 900/9-3 strut assembly with hubs and brakes. No springs.
Saab 900/9-3 struts (or lanos, the Saab are better though)
Lanos sport springs
Lanos upper strut mounts.
It's the only way without doing serious mods to the strut towers.

Re: saab/vectra rear beam
I own two OG 9.3s and a 9.5 and a lanos among others and I can say for sure the similarities stop at the strut assemblies. That being said I have the Saab 9.3 5-bolt conversion and its great. No mods. To cut weight I would suggest upgrading to 9.5 Aero (9.3 Viggen) calipers because the are aluminum....

Re: will a 1.6 or 1.8 fit in a optra?
The Optra comes with the 1.8 in Central and South America with the same gearbox as you have. So the short answer is yes. The long answer is, it's probably not with the conversion. You will likely need to pull the engine harness and ecu at the very least. There may be a hoast of small parts needed th...

Extremely common. They have the loyal following here that I'm sure Opel owners enjoy in Germany. ...so there's quite a lot of support from the performance industry.

308mm Lanos front brake upgrade.
http://photo.platonoff.com/Auto/20070809.Saab_NG900_308mm_Front_Brake_Upgrade/?all Hey, just came across a pretty good write up on the biggest brake setup that's a straight swap into the Lanos. This if from a Saab 93 Viggen or 95. I currently have 900/93 disc brakes on all four corners and 15" wheel...

Re: 2.2L compared to 2.0L
I apologize, I have seen your email and I will be getting back to you very soon.
As for the tuning, I'm sure we would all welcome a viable tuning solution if there is one. I've never even heard of a source. Do you have more info?

Re: 2.2L compared to 2.0L
There isn't any option to reflashing the GM/Daewoo vehicles before 2010 if I remember correctly. The current Cruze and Sonic models are getting pretty solid aftermarket attention but not for older models. I've done a bit of research with British based computer conversions as well as conversions to a...

Re: Lowering Suggestions for Daewoo Lanos?
you can use the rears absolutely, with no mods. the fronts can be used as well but there is a little modifying to the lower spring perch because the spring O.D. is different between the two. ...but not by much. you're still better off using the H&R sport spring kit made specifically for the Lanos. j...

Re: Lemans/Kadett Project status: ACTIVE
It just dawned on me that the crank will make that hard to do if you have the 16v crank.
If you have the 16v crank you would basically have to start with a complete Optra/Forenza motor.
