tweeters

Hey, If you are running the tweeters through an amlifier, check your ground wire and the RCA cables. RCA cables should not run next to any of the car wiring, they can only cross them. If the buzzing noise is present when the car is off then it is a problem with the amp (if you are using one) or your...

wiring

Does anyone have any experience on wiring. Just how much wiring will I have to do to make the Nubira engine work in a Lanos and what will I have to swap out in the electrical system?? Please let me know. This seems like something I might do this summer. Thanks for your help. :P

But, is there no way of keeping the Lanos transmission? And if you do us the Nubira transmission, do all other components like CVs have to be switched out? Thanks.

Hey, Thanks a bunch for doing the research. So, no mount mods required. So, can you tell me once and for all if the nubira engine would work with the Lanos transmission. And finally, if it will, then the most hard thing will be to wire up the Nubira engine, since none of the harnesses will work. WIR...

Rear disc brakes

Hey, I am in the process of putting on front Brembo brake rotors with EBC-Brakes Green Stuff pads. What I am very interested in is switching the back drum brakes to disc brakes. As this post makes me think, it is not such a hard thing to do with a lanos hatch. Can you direct me to where I can find t...

So, by the looks of the engine, it will not work for the Lanos. There's no holes on the front. The only way to make it work is to make a custom engine mount on the side of the engine for that mount by the timing belt cover?

warranty

My dealer warrantied my Lanos, even though I have aftermarket rims (18-inch) and muffler on it. My timing belt broke and the valves bent, so they had to rebuild the top part of the engine. For exaust, as long as you modify up to the cat (like putting a new muffler on), it does not void your warranty...

Well, I would imagine having one wiper positioned vertically would help shave off some minor tenth of a second for an indurance race, when average speed is over 100 mph and the race lasts for over a couple of hours around a track. We drive daewoos, one wiper will not help you with anything except wi...

Weight/size

Hey, The weight of the box with the current Rockford Fosgate sub is 30lbs (didn't have time to take out the sub yet). I imagine the weight of the box is around 20lbs. The dimensions of the box are approximately 22"x 15"x33". Make sure you mention the size of the pieces you are sending when getting t...

I am ok for with that.

I'll be happy to trade. Sorry, I really didn't mention anything about shipping, but you'd be responsible for shipping charges of your plastic parts/floor to me and for shipping of my box to you. I don't think that comes out to be such a bad deal, considering I paid $440 for this box to be made. Plea...
