There is talk about a D16 header over at the Aveo forum. People seem to think that would work with a little tweaking of the bends. Here is the thread:

you dont need to buy a "kit". you can make one from some 4 guage welding cable. all you really need is battery negative to engine block, batery negative to body, and a body to block. Right - I did see a write up on do your own. I found a kit on ebay for $25 delivered that I think would work. http:/...

Gains from Ground Wire kit?
Has anyone documented any gains from installing a ground wire kit? Any bump in HP? Responsiveness?

Looking for Opinions on Magnaflow Muffler (only) - 1.6
I have the '06 Aveo 1.6. As most of us are painfully aware, there are not many bolt on performance parts. I already have a short ram intake (CAI). If I go to a street legal Magnaflow muffler (only - not cat back) will I see any gains? I once had a Mazda Protege5. I put a Mazdaspeed muffler on that. ...

Guys, I found out that the intake manifold on my Aveo is plastic. But if there is a way to make plastic slipperier - that might bring some performance. Maybe coating the plastic intake with "Klasse" might work? http://www.autogeek.net/klasse.html?gclid=CNOnhef7po0CFQILPwodhTX5zw - W Klasse is amazi...

Question on Exhaust Manifold Port/Polish (1.6 engine)
Of the options available right now, in addition to Short RAM/CAI, to me porting/polishing of the exhaust manifold makes the most sense as a next step.
Anyone know what kind of bump in HP/Torque can be had from a Exhaust Port/Polishing?

A throtel, port and polish, and some mods can you do on your car... Porting/Polishing is something to look at. I already polished the intake side of the throttle body - easy to get at. How about polishing the intake manifold - (I think that is what it is called). I'm talking about the large assembl...

Next Step After CAI?
Howdy, and greeting from the great white north. I picked up my 06 Aveo Hatch 5 Speed manual on Tuesday. I immediately installed a cone air filter and got a bump from that. What would be the next logical step next for performance - excluding exhaust? The Aveo has the 1.6 . BTW - I traded in my 04 GTO...
