probably black will be better in the long run. it will probably stay the best color in the long run. i dont want to take the header off and get it re-coated in a few years just to get it shiny again.

I emailed them aggain asking if the colors start to dull out, or anything of that nature.

He said both colors start to dull out a bit after a few years. And there isnt any way to avoid that. (I guess thats reasonable to assume)

What color Should I go with?
Black, or (near) chrome?

Steve: 4 cylinder headers are generally about $50.00 for shorty style, and $125.00 for a long tube style in either color. We'll be back in the shop on the 2nd of January and you're more then welcome to stop by and check out some of our work. Thanks Bill Walker By "either color," he was referring to ...

You live in the detroit area, its only like 3 hours away. I could drive it there.... Or ship it, Whatever is cheaper.

That header I posted, is probably a bust. The owner of the header is acting way to fishy. I just dont feel comfortable sending money to him. So I'm talking to gse_turbo about getting a header made. http://www.hadamotorsport.com/tech/review/dsemc/JGEdelbrockHeader.JPG That is the style we are looking...

So you are saying if i end up not getting this header and make one from a shop in town, get it made with mild steel?
How come I always see headers made out of stainless steel?

As far as I know it was stainless. thats what he said it was going to be before he actually made it

That is 4-hours after it was made.

yeah just as i thought.... no to the intake

does anyone know if the paint will crack/peel off? Im not sure if he was using it with it painted....

I was going to get it ceramic coated by some place in town to cut down on heat, and also get a little bit of performance out if it.
