Can anybody tell me for sure if there is a magnet on the camshaft which is turning around? (I don't think so)

Do you know that whether an Aveo camshaft sensor works in a Lanos?

Another thing: occasionally when engine starts the cooling fan switches on with cold engine. After a while it goes off. I read somewhere if an error occurs the ecu switches on the fan. After checking and cleaning most of the wiring on my Lanos I noticed that my temp gauge overturned a full revolution on the dash. It stays there doesn't matter if I disconnect the batttery or fuses just like the fuel gauge. Any idea what could cause this?

the sensor is magnetic and reads off the cam gear. there is a thicker section on the back of the gear that the magnetreads off of when it spins around. Could anybody tell me what triggers the camshaft position sensor on a Lanos?
Is there anything at the end of the camshaft which triggers the sensor, or it's only a gap?
It's a 1.4 engine.

I've checked the voltage on my oxygen sensor and it was pretty high 0.8V at a warm engine.
The only code I still have is P0342. Can this cause so bad fuel/air ratio to give such a value?
Maybe because of the pcm get a low signal from the camshaft sensor this cause a problem with the timing/injection.

I checked the PCM it's a Delphi Delco module. I've got a 1.3 SOHC engine.
I'm looking for drawings for this now.

Does anyone have electrical drawings for a Lanos II (2001) or only for the PCM?
Especially interested in the camshaft position sensor's wiring.

Could you confirm the ecu is in the engine bay on a Lanos (2001)

Sensor has been changed, nothing happened. The CEL is still on.
Anybody has an electrical drawing for a Lanos (OBD II)? Any idea?

I've found this part on the net, it says 'speed sensor'. I think is the cam sensor anyway.
I haven't changed it yet on my Lanos.
