Yes it's there. I went to the local Kia/Proton dealership yesterday (closest Chevy place is about 50 miles away) & they had a look and they reckon the top mounting needs replacing and that it's quite common on the Nubira. When I get half a chance I'll pull the whole strut out & see what's what, till...

Just wondering if anyone could explain why the right side rear strut does not appear to be fixed to the turret at all (drops out when vehicle is jacked up). The other side stays put fine but I can't see or feel any extra fixings on the left or anything loose/broken on the right side although I guess...

OUCH!!! That must have handled like a bag of hairy dogs, once had a ford van with lower arm bushes out & every gearshift saw it leaping across lanes into oncoming traffic!
