Congrats on all the hard work bearing fruit! Fortunately my Nubira already came with the 2.0L so no skinned knuckles for me! :D

BTW my top speed is right at 200km/hr (129hp 2.0L)

I've put in a set of Silverstars and found them to be a decent improvement over stock. Replaced the fogs too, but those bulbs are a ROYAL PITA to change!

Update...(yes I'm a procrastinator first class :D )finally got around to putting the new bulbs in (BTW it's a 9003 needed, not a 9007 :D ) and I gotta say that replacing the H3 fog light bulbs in a Nubira has GOT to be one of the biggest PITA "small" jobs I've ever done on a car...you gotta remove t...

From a test done in one of the car mags (Car and Driver I think it was) a couple years back, I use a product called "Proguard" by Chevron. It far outperformed the others, including STP, for breaking down deposits on injectors and intake valves.

My 2000 Nubira got very noisy too when the flex pipe let go! Seriously though, without hearing the noise you hear, it's very hard to diagnose via the net. Try to narrow it down a bit more - does it sound like it's coming from the engine bay? Under the floor? Only when accelerating? High pitche...

Quick bulb question

Driving "her" car today, so I don't have the Nubira's owners manual - did a search but couldn't find a conclusive answer (seen references to different types :?: )....anyhow, need to pick up new headlight and fog light bulbs after work today, I need a 9007 and a H3 correct?!

TIA!

$258 for one new injector is crazy - 50 bucks is more like it. BTW the Nubira has a 2.0L engine.

Problem solved (fingers crossed!) - contaminated fluid. Spent a couple days siphoning as much old fluid from the fill reservoir and then pouring in new - did this several times...drive, take out fluid, add new, drive some more with lots of steering lock to lock to circulate the fluid...and the stick...

Eiback - 1.2" drop
Intrax - 1.5" drop
B & G - 1.6" drop

Any decent aftermarket parts store should be able to order a set for ya.

Yup, I'm on EvoM as "BlackLab" - I don't post much, just mostly read...same as here *L*. The RA is a fun car for sure - it's mainly because of that car and how great it handles, that I want to do some work on the Nubira's suspension. It's a pretty big difference in back to back comparisons unfortuna...

Good point, but springs and shocks I can do myself (have done it on a couple previous cars) so I don't mind if I gotta do it twice. Tearing into an engine I wouldn't feel comfortable with *L*, but most of the basics I can handle. Learned the hard way on a steady diet of used cars over the years *L*.

Yup, I've had a previous car (was a broken PS belt on that one) that suffered complete power steering failure and like you said, it was a bear to turn the wheel when stopped or even at low speed. This situation with the Nubira is not like that at all - just a very noticeable varying in the amount of...

Cool...I'll just stick with the springs for now then! If the shocks do blow out, it'll just be an excuse to get new ones *L*
