My new ride and what have I been up to
Hello everyone! I have been absent from the forum for a long, long time. I do peek here every now and then, but after spending rather large amount of money on the GSI Turbo project, I came to the conclusion that enough is enough. I must say I very much appreciate reliability of my 02 Lanos HB, which...

Re: Torque specs needed for 2.4 litre gas engine
Can you post any more info on the motor? There is a 2.4l GM-OPEL variant of the motor, used in some markets, available in both the 8V and 16V flavours. Pics would help.

Re: Going to import a Calibra AWD 2.0L Turbo
Hehe... I'm glad I found this Cali (yes, it was me that showed it to Chris). I almost feel guilty now hehe. Anyways, did you find out if it needs any parts? I would have the importer do a complete mechanical inspection on the car while still in Japan. I am in Europe for next two weeks so picking up ...

Re: 89 lemans unknown mechanical part
If its black with vacuum-like lines attached, then its your charcoal canister. Its holding the gas vapours and sends them into the fuel tank. Will not prevent fuel delivery.

Re: Front Wheel Bearing
If you want to save money, remove the strut assembly yourself and bring it like that to your mechanic. Most of the price on the bearing replacement comes from time to actually get the hub out. Hope this helps.

Re: HELP 1.6 lemans
You will hear your fuel pump prime the system for the 2 seconds when you first turn the ignition key on - just carefully listen for it, or have someone do that for you from the outside of the vehicle. If you do have the prime pulse, but the engine does not get fuel when cranking, your ignition modul...

Re: MMamdouh's rear brake upgrade FINALLY DONE!
Congrats on the brake job!! I remember how happy I was when I first fitted the rear disc brakes in the GSI. the test drive showed better response from the brake pedal... no change in brake power though... surly their is a bedding period for the new pads and system has to be bled after some kms so i ...

Re: ALDL (OBD) for DAEWOO RACER
Yes buddha102 :chain: , no profanities here!! Now, the OBD1. If you look here, http://www.aldlcable.com/sc/pages.asp?pageid=20 , the Freescan covers all GM (All 4 cylinder models with GM Fuel-Injection), hence it should (crossing fingers), cover the GM Racer. The main page also seems to have some ti...

Re: c20get engine swap into Lemans question
Since I have done this conversion in the past, here it is, for starters. The actual ignition setup between your Lemans and Sunbird is identical, however you will not be able to use your existing ECU or wiring. Yes, the factory Lemans harness and ECU need to go and be replaced with the corresponding ...

Re: Brake in Lanos
Hello. I am from Ukraine. I have lanos. Can I ask ? how kide of brake I can install in Lanos. Going back to the original question, the easier upgrade for you would be 288mm front rotors/calipers from Vectra. If you plan on keeping current brakes, try some drilled or slotted front rotors with some pa...
