confusion on belts
Changed out at 100K and the replacement blew at 157K or 57K in service. and 1k for the engine. How much did you end up paying for the 1.6L ??? I'm somewhat confused..... so are you saying that you left the timing belt until 100K and it blew? or are you saying that you had the timing belt changed and...

Hi Dave I'm in Peterbourogh i got a used 1.6L at 23K droped in with all manifolds ect on it. will be looking at rebuilding it porting the head and intake manifold ect and maybe a turbo and electronics as well later on if its worth the time :wink: or use it for spare parts ect.... not sure yet its a ...

I was the one that posted 1.6L Lonos engine died. in a new topic. But If what your saying is true this is not good... I replaced my timing belt on my Lanos at 99K 3k above the manual rounding off to lets say 100k and they did the change i should have changed again at 160k or 150k to be safe....I for...

1.6l lanos engine died
What engine can I put in this that will fit with out much difficulty.
can get and engine with 26K on it .....the one that is in it the timing belt blew so im putting this out there for you to give me ideas ....if its bigger :twisted: great
