Re: Wanted to say....
Sorry to have posted and disappeared. I have been on the road so much this month that I have only been home a few days this past month. The Mazda drives nice but there are a few things from the Reno I miss. Funny thing is that since I have sold her she has sat for quite a bit since her new owner doe...

Wanted to say....
Thank you to everyone who I chatted with and especially those who helped me do things like change out brake pads for the first time. I learned a lot from here even though I was not the most active of members. After putting 130K+ miles on my Reno I decided it was time for a new car. I shopped around ...

Re: CHNDROSE: 05 Suzuki Reno S
Now approaching 116,000 miles on my little Reno. Actually was looking to replace her for a bit but the economy is really bad right now so not a time to buy a car. Going to get her timing belt and water pump changed again. She has an oil leak somewhere. Replaced the oil pan gasket and that slowed the...

It took me a bit to get used to seeing it but I think that the CF looks great with the black car, not so sure how well it would go with another colour. Update: The tires I posted the pic on are about gone, just about slicks and that is all. Saving up to replace them this year. The car is still going...

In one of the Dirty Harry movies (Sudden Death, I believe) there is a scene where an RC car with a bomb is chasing after him. I remember seeing the "behind the scenes" for this movie and they stated that the RC car kept going too fast and overshooting the old heap they were using for DH's car. :) I ...

Drivers can be a pain and that is a problem I ran into running Linux on my 64 bit machine. However, the x64 architecture is becoming more common so that problem should fade away. I would do a google search on some of your fav apps/games and see if anyone else is having issues. Also do the same for y...

Not that impossible. I put in some practise while on a couple of long trips this past week and I am doing pretty well. At first I stopped for too long in between clutch presses but now I shift at about the same speed as before. However, it is not second nature quite yet. YMMV. Edited to add: Thank y...

I was told that there is a recall for the water pump in the 05 Renos. However, I could not find a recall notice anywhere on the 'Net. The dealer I bought my car through has given up on the Suzuki line and sold that part of the business off to someone else. I will be checking with the one dealer befo...

Well for my old car, the local shops doubled the price when I wanted the water pump replaced. I am still playing phone tag with the mechanic who offered the best price for just the TB so far. I am going to finish off the tax refund by picking up wires, plugs, and a new cap. I have the money now and ...

Thanks. :) My car will probably have about 63K before the job gets done. I decided to go with a mechanic since if I screw it up, I really don't have anyone to call. Maybe I will give it a go in 2 years when I hit 120,000 miles. I really do want to learn how to do all of this on my own, I just have t...

05 Reno: Timing Belt (new: water pump recall?)
So my baby that I bought with something like 90 miles in the beginning of 05 now has about 62,000 miles on her. Not too long ago I posted and got a lot of really good help on doing my brakes. :) So after calling around today and getting quotes between $330 USD and $500 USD just to replace the belt, ...
