plastic or metal bits? actually... it doesn't really matter, you might consider placing a stainless steel mesh just before the TB to prevent any potential broken bits from trying to make friends with your valves....

stock speakers are 4.5" front, and 4x6 rear.

I know people who upgrade the fronts to 6.5" - you need a slim speaker design (not too big magnets) and a MDF ring to space it.

The voltage regulator is indeed built into the alternator and I did the positive wire from the alternator to the battery on my Lanos and I have pics of it ... somewhere. LOL So no worries, the wire goes stright from the alternator positive output terminal to the battery positive post. I must warn y...

yeap the service manual (for the kalos) says the rectifier is built in - which means you get DC out of the alternator.

i will not DEFINITELY confirm this... but a quick check with the service manual says that the rectifier (regulator) circuit is built-in to the alternator (the service manual calls it a generator). Hood scoop (dumb) question

I remember reading on this site some dude with a very small hood scoop just above where his air-intake should be... i'm thinking about doing something like that too....
