Autos built after 1996 is compliance with $06 on board diagnostics. What this would do is your ECM would run certain test on certain elements in your car such as Catlytic Converter etc. If such an equipment is below the pass margin it will show that it fail the test, and therefore such an element wi...

I have a ELmscan 5, and when i do On board monitoring i see this. This was the only one that fail.

TID $02 Manufacturer defined

I tried e-mailing the Daewoo and the scantool.net who sells the ELmscan 5, but no luck. I tried searching the net couldn't find anything.

Re: Engine misfire

Yes benzino i did found the Idle learn procedure , and thank you. No problem Daniel you got me thinking on something very important. Last time when i had a power steering leak, the guy who worked on my car had to pull the crank shaft pulley, and the crank shaft sensor to gain some room to the power ...

HI Daniel

I checked my service manual, but i don't see this crankshaft relearn procedure. If you don't mind can you e-mail me the service manual that has this procedure. My e-mail is djaya127@yahoo.com.

Thanks

Re: why do i Have two O2 sensors before the Catlytic convert

Yes there is a little cat look like that hanging from the manifold, but i never thought that is cat. The cat that i knew was the one underneath in the middle. THat make sense too, because when i look at the second O2 sensor values it shows very little variation above 0.45Volts(unless when lean). So,...

Re: Engine misfire

I would like add just little information. I was wrong about the coolant temperature. It went to the open loop with even 200F. So, i guess coolant temperature is not an issue. It goes to the open loop, and it is very random.

Re: why do i Have two O2 sensors before the Catlytic convert

It went to open loop with even 4.7% throttle. I do not notice any change in performance. My check engine light was flashing, and it was very random. My service manual does not even say that i have two cats. You may be right there can be a cat that is hanging from the intake manifold.
