Scary shaking coming from my Nubira
My Nubira tends to shake violently as I press the brake while driving on the highway. It would continue to shake as I'm accelerating between 40-60mph, but it would be a light rumble compared to the seizure the car goes through when I press the brake. I can also hear what sounds like a helicopter hov...

Re: Nubira driver's side headlamp keeps fogging up
Does anyone know where I can find new gaskets? I've tried auto parts stores and Home Depot, and found nothing.
Also, there aren't any salvage yards near me that have a Nubira to scavenge from, so finding them new (wherever they may be) is my only option.

Nubira driver's side headlamp keeps fogging up
I recently had a problem with my Nubira's driver's side headlamp that no matter what I do, the problem doesn't go away. I first noticed that the headlamp was leaking water when I washed it a while ago. So, I drained the water out and used a blow dryer to dry out the inside. But, the problem persiste...

Re: My Nubira did the most bizarre thing...
any chance it was a fuel problem? A while back i had a bad miss on my Lanos and was thinking the worse stuff too. I even got an ignition coil because it was a clear misfire. I had just done the fuel filter not that many miles before, but just ona whim did it again. That took care of the problem. I ...

Nubira Projection Headlamps?
I went on the internet and I found this: http://i.ebayimg.com/t/2000-Daewoo-Nubira-18-page-Original-Sales-Brochure-Catalog-/00/s/MTAyNFg4NzQ=/$%28KGrHqV,!icF!H365E%29hBQJJCdbOQg~~60_12.JPG That was on the cover of a US brochure for a 2000 Nubira. Note, however, the unique headlamps that are on that ...

Re: My Nubira did the most bizarre thing...
Does mechanic has had the opportunity to measure the compressions before the engine returns to normal? > No, he didn't. The problem corrected itself before he could do anything, and he knows me well enough to know that if there's nothing wrong, then no need to go further. My wife's grandfather also...

My Nubira did the most bizarre thing...
The night before all this happened, I drove to work, and my car was running fine, no hint of any problems. I work my 8-hour overnight shift, and when it's time to go, I start my car, and instantly I notice the car running roughly. My first thought was "What the hell?," I open the hood and see the en...

Re: TEC Dilemma
Thanks! I went back to the first shop that did my timing belt, and while the shop owner was embarrassed that a mistake such as this one passed by their technicians, he did entitle me to a reimbursement of the second shop's bill, which was nice. But, even though it didn't need a TEC procedure, it doe...

Re: TEC Dilemma
UPDATE! I took my car to the Car Shop of VB earlier today. Guess what they found? They found the exhaust cam was off by ONE TOOTH. They said the timing belt was good and didn't need to do a compression check, which was a relief. After that, my car was running like a champ again. Thank you so much! Y...

Re: TEC Dilemma
it's important the that the cam timing marks are straight up in the air and line up with marks on the plastic valve cover. MAKE SURE the mechanic knows that the marks do not face each other like other cars. incase the other shop took off the cam gears for no reason, make sure the exhaust gear has t...

TEC Dilemma
Hello, I am a newbie here at Daewootech, and I'm glad to be welcomed by everyone here. I am new to Daewoos and received my first, a Nubira CDX wagon, as a gift no more than a month ago. When I got her, she had only 62,491 miles. While perusing the service manual, I noticed that Daewoo listed the tim...
