Re: 01 Nubira Front Suspension
Well I replaced the control arms last May. then had the alignment done at the Infiniti dealer (I'm a vendor of theirs). The tires were fine until about a couple months ago, then I looked and the bushings and they are torn again.. It's not an alignment issue, it's the damn bushings.

Re: 01 Nubira Front Suspension
So my replacement control arms lasted about a year and it's now eating a pair of tires every 30 days. I bought the cheap Dorman ones from Rockauto and looking at it, the front bushings on the control arm are torn, the rear ones look ok. Now I'm thinking, would you recommend the AC Delco control arms...

Re: 01 Nubira Double Din
I also installed a set of 6.5" component speakers in the front doors, tweeters behind the OEM tweeter locations, I had to make plates to mount the 6.5" woofer in the door but was but difficult. Installed a 6.5" coaxial set in the rear deck. Powering the speakers I installed a Class AB 4 channel amp ...

01 Nubira Double Din
I haven't seen anyone else do this so I thought I'd share my install. They don't make double din kits for the Nubira so I had to make my own brackets and trim ring. I recessed the head unit slightly in order to make a security cover as well. Pioneer AVIC-F700BT http://www.westcoastlincolns.net/image...

Re: 2001 Nubira Air Conditioning
Excellent.. Thanks for posting the part number. I went to my local Chevy dealer and they were able to order it for me. Part is cheap enough to give it a try. A friend of mine has everything we need to recharge the system including a 30lb cylinder of 134a so I hope to be up and running next weekend! ...

Re: 2001 Nubira Air Conditioning
Ok so a friend of mine had some manifold gauges so we hooked them up to get a better idea of what is going on. With the engine off the low side was pretty high, the high side was approximately 140 psi. I started the engine and the low side pressure dropped to approximately 75-85 psi and the high sid...

Re: 01 Nubira Front Suspension
Just swapped the control arms out. Was only slightly a pain in the ass to do the job. I was able to pull and install the replacement control arms without removing any axles or anything else. Basically I removed the ball joint pinch bolt. Removed the rear arm bolt and removed the bracket so I could h...

2001 Nubira Air Conditioning
I have a 2001 Nubira that I recently acquired. The A/C does not blow cold. I can turn it on, the AC light illuminates, the compressor kicks on and stays on yet it does not cool. I checked the low side pressure and it stays at about 80psi so I did not try and put any more 134a into the system. Does a...

01 Nubira Front Suspension
Greetings all.. New user here. I just picked up a 2001 Nubira from a friends tow yard for $500. Car is in pretty good shape, only 92k miles on it. I have noticed that the car wanders from side to side driving in a straight line and was wondering if it is the typical control arm issues I have been re...
