Does a 1.6L/1.5L DOHC intake manifold bolt to a TS20D
Just like it says on the lid. Can I bolt the intake manifold off a little d-tech onto a TS20D? I don't care about anything other than the base bolting to the cylinder head.

Re: Lanos Sleeper
Will the Nubira engine fit in the Lanos? Just a drop-in or any mods needed? Minor wiring stuff and you need the timing cover engine mount off the 2.0L. It's been a while, but there was also some mix-matching with the clutch/flywheel when I did my swap. No parts hunting, just mixing what you would a...

Re: Lanos Sleeper
Have you considered a swap to the larger 2.2 or 2.0 liter engines?

Re: Daewoo of Death - Trackday/Autocross Build of Doom!
After many moons and the end of summer vacation, the Daewoo has once more risen from the ashes of anonymity, financial prudence and good taste. I'm trying to get everything in order to make the car, decent reliable and safe for the first track day on (fingers crossed) October 2nd. This consisted of ...

Re: Daewoo of Death - Trackday/Autocross Build of Doom!
The new coilovers are all 9kg/mm units from TechPro, a Korean company I know almost nothing about. They look like quality pieces but there's a sticker on the side commanding that I should never disassemble them. The set, custom made, was about 600 bucks. Now I'm just waiting on the cold air kit (int...

Re: The U20SED track-reliable power limit.
If you are looking to get to 8500 you would need more top end parts like stiffer springs and lighter valve train. I just finished working with Supetech not too long ago for a complete valve train so that is an option. Anyways with a goal closer to 7500-8000 the engine would have a longer life. The ...

Re: The U20SED track-reliable power limit.
I would want to stay NA because, no offense to anybody, the turbo builds on this forum seem pretty fragile and I've never tracked a car that couldn't use cooling help. No offense taken, this site has very few serious builders, most people are on a fairly tight budget. My project car has the potenti...

Re: The U20SED track-reliable power limit.
I'm a huge advocate for remaining all GM when doing builds like this. The axle shafts for sure will be a huge problem for a swap like this. The list of the engine build above is pretty good it using standard pistons and cam followers is the worst part of that build. For a powerful NA build, higher ...

Re: Nubira 1.5 DOHC engine specs
Assuming the Korean 1.5L and Egyptian 1.5L engines are the same, that factory rating is probably optimistic. My friend says they typically pull 75-80 whp on the dyno.

Here are the new coilovers and home brew slotted rotors. Oh, and I painted the grill white and reinstalled it. http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_images/4/484/2669/38708834028_medium.jpg http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_images/4/484/2669/38708834027_medium.jpg http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride...

Update. We finished the spoiler and are now waiting on a 70 mm airfilter, brake pads and the coilovers.
