clean the IAC (idle air control) valve... if this is not enough you will have to replace it...

on a Leganga?? well... i never worked on a Leggy before but as a rule the IAC sensor is located on the Throttle body, the TB have 2 sensors; the TPS sensor which is directlt attached to the axis of the butterfly and the IAC sensor is right next to it.asam wrote:How do you clean a IAC. where is it located on a Leganza?
when you take it out; spray it with WD 40 and also its mounting port on the TB then clean up with a clean rug then install it back. after that turn the ignition on for 5 seconds then back off three consecutive times to let the ECU remap the sensor then start the car.
some blue somoke might come out of the exhaust... that will be the resedues of the WD 40 burning in the combustion chambre.
if you have more than 40000 Kms on your ride and never did that before; it will be better to take off the whole TB out for some extensive cleanup... the crank case breather dumps so much oil vapor that it contaminates the TB ports and clog them over time.
