I would like to purchase an induction kit for my 1.4 Lanos but the one's I've seen are only for the 1.5 version.
I have contacted the manufacturer and they say they do not make one for the 1.4, but I have seen this same model used on a 1.4
it will work for sure... the 1.5 engine is a stroaked 1.4 engine so the only different parts are the crank shaft and the connecting rods... other than that it is the same engine.
air intake got nothing to do with the number of valves you have not to mention that both the 1.4 and 1.5 are 8 valve engines... i'd say the manufacturer is talking from his ass and doesn't want to do any reserch.
i'm not too good with cars but i know about as much as this will replace my existing airbox.
is this easy enough to fit, or should i pay a garage to do it for me?
I might have a go at removing the air resonater first to see what difference that makes (I have a replacement k&n air filter in the airbox at the moment).
If its not too late I would not buy this one it looks too small goto my member pages and look at the one I made it was much cheaper also the air filter you see in that pics has been changed to a bigger open ended one I will post a pic later today but here is the link scroll down you will see what I am talking about
