If it is the starter it's at the back of the engine and it's not the easiest thing to get at unless you can get right under the car with a lift or way up on jack stands ( 8" off the ground ideally )
The sound you describe could be the starter, but it could also be something more expensive.
Is the transmission an automatic or manual ?

The sound it makes does sound like if you were to start the car while it was already started... Problem with not doing it myself it they want an arm and a leg to work on it since there is only one shop that will work on Daewoos... So I will be up under her tomorrow luckily I have small arms and hands... After I fix this I get to find where my coolant is leaking out at... Im about ready to blow the car up...

No.... taking off the intake is a huge job..... if you can get right under the car the starter is not to bad to get at.pslider wrote:Its an automatic... Any thoughts what else it might be?
Also would it be possible to get to it easy if I was to remove the intake manifold?
Odds are if you tapped the starter with a hammer it would retract the gear mechanism and allow you to get it running again.
It's a short term fix but most of the time it works.
Basicly there is a spring which returns the gear back to the position where it's not in contact with the flywheel.... sometimes the shaft sticks and the spring is not enough to move it back out of the way.
If you tap it with a hammer a couple of times it should allow the shaft to slide back to it's rest position.
who knows... you might tap it once and it might be good for years.... or it might need to be tapped every single time you start the car ( one person cranking the other ready to tap the starter when the engine starts running to retract the gear )

Bumped starter and it starts but was told when it started it sounded like chains rattling around... Also found coolant leak, when milky oil was found... So my coolant is leaking into my oil...
