Legaz mis/fire,idle ok,slight throttle & more miss.FIXED

Hi all, first thanks to all of you who took the time to document "Fixed" info. I bought a 2000 Leganza with 126k miles that would idle but as soon as it was put into gear it would miss and shudder. Searching this forum and having a Nubira 2000 I was fairly confident it was oil in the spark plug holes due to the valve cover gasket. Bought the car for $400, could have gotten it for 300 or less. Sure enough the plugs were soaked/covered, resealed the valve cover and cleaned the plugs and the holes with CRC brake clean. The car was now drivable from Portland to Seattle. On the way it developed a slight miss on take off but no dignostic codes. Replaced plugs, wires, and the miss was still there. Back to the forum and a search on word coil and relized I needed a code to go after. Driving hard it gave me a cyl #4 miss with a engine lite. Reviewing the forum again I decided to swap the coil pack with my 2000 nubira. It was the coil pack. No miss fire now. Wow, what a nice car. Nubira 2000 2.0L, Leganza 2000 2.2L. Both Auto. Dennis

Congrats, glad everythings sweet now, and glad that you knew how to use the search button, but for anything ya need, give us a shout, and stay about the forums

Such a good deal my Wife took it!! Oh well the Nubira is not too bad. LOL Dennis
