Temp Gauge not working....

Post by AborteK »

My temperature gauge has not been working since i've bought this Lanos, it caused me to overheat and have to redo-my head since i burnt through a gasket and had to replace gasket and fix head.

Thing is i wanted to know if there is a way to fix this!!!....

any ideas suggestions, how-to?

Get a basic multimeter (less than 10$) and check the resistance value of the temperature sensor disconnected.
Approx:
5600 ohms @ 50°F (10°C)
4400 ohms @ 59°F (15°C)
3500 ohms @ 68°F (20°C)
330 ohms @ 176°F (80°C)

Sensor spot depends of engine.
