I'm currently working on a 1999 Daewoo Lanos 1.6L DOHC. I've reworked the head and noticed that when I turn the crankshaft to the timing mark (to set timing) that the number 1 and 4 piston is slightly lower than TDC. It takes another 5-10 degrees clockwise past the mark on the rear timing cover to get the number 1 and 4 piston at the max height (TDC). Do I set it on the mark or at true TDC?
Thanks for all the help.

Re: Timing problems and crankshaft position
Just set it to the marks as per service manual.
