if i were to run an intercooler without a turbo on my 2001 lanos would there be any increase in hp?

No increases... how are you going to run it? From intake manufold through pipe to an intercooler? That's like a cold air intake system lol.

It would only serve to create a restriction in your intake

i asked the same question on other daewoo forum and got the same answer... you won't get more power, even worse you will add restriction to your intake

if you have an intercooler with no turbo then the air beeing sucked into the intercooler is as hot as the air outside the intercooler thus no heat transfer will occure between the air in and the air outside and the intercooler won't cool your air... you will be left with the intercooler restriction which will make your performance suffer.
