i guess he means what is ment by the term "lift intake" and "lift exhaust"... that means how much the cam lobe will push the intake/exhaust valves when opening them.

in other words what is the max. travel the valves go into the combustio chamber when fully open, in this case both valves can open up to 7.2 mm into the combustion chamber.

For those who are having a hard time reading it....

Lanos Intake & Exahust lift: 8.75 mm
Aveo Intake & Exhaust lift: 7.2 mm

Wow.... that's a significant difference

Perhaps we should try throwing a Lanos camshaft into an Aveo to see if it makes much of a difference on the dyno.

If compare the Camshaft journal diameters they look like they should be compatable.

I hope you don't mind.... I changed those links into images.... it was annoying haveing to switch between pages all the time.

That's cool, I couldn't figure out how to do it. Now I want a set of Lanos cams to stick in the Aveo

are you guys sure the valves got enought clearance so that they won't hit the pistons with them Lanos cams??

not really sure how to check that but i guess you need to make sure both engines got the same crank shaft specs and compression ratio or so... right??
