Wanted: Lanos Steering Wheel w/out airbag.

Post by BosnianLanos »

Well, mine was in bad shape (rubber covering coming off) but last night, the top of the rubber loosened from the interior metal frame and not it spins, making you lose confidence.

Wondering if anyone has a steering wheel available, it doesn't have to be in top notch like new condition, just OK condition without too much of the rubber falling apart or it being loose from the frame.

Thanks, PM me with any details if anyone has one.

At the local junkyard I have only found a Nubira and a Leganza. I already took parts that fit my car, but there were few, I was sure there was going to be a Lanos, but there wasnt one.

What I meant by no air bag is that one isn't necessary. Most auto recyclers sell them either without the bag or charge you extra for it. They like to sell airbags as kits, both left and right. I'd just transplant my airbag into it.

But if you can't or won't take it apart, thats no problem either, I'd just put the bag up on Ebay.

Thanks for your help!

Damir.

dude your in luck. since i'm friends with the owners daughter they said i could get the steering wheel without airbag for you for $20. just let me know and i'll try to figure out the shipping and stuff. i'll buy it once you give me the go ahead. i don't think shipping should be too much since theres no airbag weighing it down. i'm guessing maybe like $10 or so since i'm in oklahoma and your in florida. but i'll get the exact shipping once i get it packaged for you.

oh and i'll look at it for quality too before i buy it.

Friends with the owner's daughter, eh?

Thanks a lot dude! That is perfect. As soon as you can get it, I can Paypal you the money. Again, don't worry too much about it being in "super" condition, just not to warped or too much of the rubber ruined, and that the covering hasn't loosened from the interior metal frame. As long as it isn't in the same or worse condition as mine in the picture, we're in good shape.

Again man, thanks a lot!!!

Zip code is 33764

Shipping speed isn't awfully important, you can just send it via the most basic service you can find, however if it is possible I'd like to have it before July 2 because thats the day I go on vacation to North Carolina and I won't be back till the 12th. If you can get it here by the second, great, but if you can't you can wait until after the 12th to ship. Hopefully there isn't too high of a demand for used Daewoo Lanos steering wheels in Oklahoma.

And remember, don't hit the bar too hard.

$60 hub + $200 Wheel + rate hike from insurance because of driving w/out airbags + 7 year old 'Woo with 190,000 miles that ain't worth the gas and oil I'm putting into it.

I don't think a MOMO wheel would be worth it.
