I bought a used turbo...it's a holset and if you look they are one of the most enduring turbos built. They've been used on diesel trucks for many years. I did have to get a smaller turbine housing made to fit it so it would spool up before 3800 rpm but that was ok cause there's a company that used to make them for people to use those turbos on eclipses and I just had it modeled after that.

well im want to get into this conversation, because i also want to boost my car.... im thinking runing 5 psi would be good.... question for today... do i need to get injectors from nubira? (i have 1.6 dohc lanos) do i need to put some "high performance parts" inside my engine?

does the turbo "bolts on" to the exhaust? do i need any parts for it?

thanks in advance ;)

For 5 psi you should be ok with stock injector's and a rrfpr. (rising rate fuel pressure regulator). It's not the best setup but should be ok at 5 psi. As far as the engine...the stock internals should be fine at that psi. You will need to get an adaptor made to bolt the turbo to your stock exhaust header.

at 5psi its a ok setup you dont need to do internals but there is things you can do to make it better. as for the adapter you make it so that the turbo and exhaust manifold can hook up. or you can just make a exhaust manifold that works with the turbo flang. it isnt hard to make if you know how to weld

Umm one again your probably gonna have to make one unless a member will make one for you cause i don't think they make them. I could be wrong.

As for the engine aspect. your going to start at 5psi, changing the FPR to allow more fuel is a cheap and easy way to get better lbs/hr out of the injectors. (Example LN2 injectors stock are 17lbs/hr and become static at 6psi @ 4500 rpm. Now if you increase the fpr to 60 psi you can affectivly increase the injectors to 19 lbs/hr which then you can boost more effectivly), so thats one way to make your system a little bit better, P&P will help out also, wai/cai.....simple little things so you dont choke the engine.
