not sure if it really works but, ive heard of people putting a resistor in place of O2 sensors. if it is possible, to make that work you would have to find out what resistance the original O2 sensor had at operating temp. and get that proper ohm resistor.

i dont know if this is the same for you but what i did when i installed a test pipe for my first cat i unhooked the neg battery cable and unpluged the ECM fuse in the fuse box for a while. put them back and cranked it up after i finished the install and never got a CEL, and still havnt. hope that helps :]
yesterday I fix the intake, was broke one of the clams before the air sensor was damage, So I fix it yesterday, and a couple of min after I turn the car the chk engine light turn of. And is still off. So dont know if the real reason of the chk enginelight was that.
