Now, I was wondering if the c20xe computer from a Calibra can be swapped into a Suzuki Reno. Im wondering because I can purchase a chipped version for dirt cheap so it would be nice if I could use this instead of running a full standalone. I mean I wouldnt want the same incident to happen again like my last motor...
Not gonna happen for ya. The XE motor used a distributor for it's spark system... the Reno uses a wasted spark system controlled by the ECU. Swapping this ECU into your Reno would mean there is no longer a spark signal and it just wouldn't work.

Only early c20xe engines have distributors - latest are distributorless
That's what I'm aiming for next, that, or a turbo for my 20seh [I havent actually checked what engine i have never dawned on me there.. could be the c20ne or the c/20seh :S]

They'd need too for that price, a good one over here, with a coscast head goes for about 750! which is only 1500 USD
