does anyone know the weight of these engines fully dressed?
can the heads from a C20LET be swapped on the LT3 Sunbird engine? I think there the same block? I dunno much about these motors..
I am thinking about swapping one of these into the back of a fiero..
LT3, C20GET, C20LET weight?

Re: LT3, C20GET, C20LET weight?
Long time since we had a J-Body guy here... I have a couple of C20GET ( LT3 ) engines myself and owned an 87 Sunbird GT Turbo
You should be able to drop on a C20LET head no problem, just be sure to get a C20LET cylinder head gasket as the holes in the gasket are slightly different than the 8V.
The C20LET has a distributor so it should be easier to adapt than the newer 16V heads which use a distributorless ignition system.
You can look up PontiacJeff on this site and on J-Body if you want, he adapted a distributor to rotate in sync with the newer cylinder head.
Just be sure you pay the extra money and get a Coscast head as the GM heads had some porosity issues and you have to be careful.
The C20XE head is basically the same as the C20LET head and it's easier/cheaper to find.
Can't remember which cam, but quite often they drop one of the C20XE cams into the C20LET head to add some power.
So in theory all you would need to make a C20XE head work is the correct C20LET cam
If you don't frequent www.migweb.co.uk then I suggest you head there as you will get tons of good technical info to help you out along the way.
