Well i am comparing a F-16 from a lanos 1.6 to a D-16 from a laceti/optra 1.8 now wich is shorter?
F-16........D-16........Difrence
1st: 3.545:1........3.545:1........+0
2nd: 1.952:1........2.158:1........+0.206:1
3rd: 1.276:1........1.478:1........+0.202:1
4th: 0.892:1........1.129:1........+0.237:1
5th: 0.707:1........0.886:1........+0.179:1
end: 4.176:1........3.722:1........-0.454:1
Now if recall correct higher means shorter.. BUT that end gear... i dno how to use it to c if i cancels out the gears being shorter seperatly? so anyone know how to calculate this or anything? (or has the speed values for both cars per gear?)
EDIT sorry for wierd ........ thing but it takes out spaces so i tryed this
Wich tranny is shorter ? im lost :s

The D16 has a closer ratio gearset than the F16. Though its offset as you say by the F16's steeper final drive ratio. If the engine hasn't much torque the close ratio one may be better as you can keep it in the rev's more.
Best combo for quick accelaration would be the D16 with the F16 final drive!
