slight squeal

sometimes when i am braking doesnt matter if it is hard or soft or fast or slow but every once in a while my brakes give out this light squeal i know that the pads are brand new (semi-metallic)and the rotors were turned less than 6k miles on them i have a 99 nubira a/t sx 4dr all disk brakes

brakes will some times squeal for no reason, its just some thing you have to live with, it sucks but its nothing to worry about

What transmission do you have? I have light squeal too. I thought about brakes, but ... it comes from automatic transaxle. It has been verified with car lifted and "N". Diagnosis: transmission fluid to be replaced. I will do it on Monday or Tuesday and I hope this is the only problem.
