I have no idea mmamdouh, looks like it sucks it in from the intake? and makes the car stop better somehow, i dunno man.

all modern cars have brakes booster... it is the big black circular thingy behind the brakes master cyl., it uses vacuum from the intake to assist the braking action.
try to pump the brakes pedal with the engine off and you will notice that the pedal is getting progressivly harder as you are consuming the vacuum assistance thus increasing the work your foot has to do to press the pedal... this is why it is way too dagerous to cruse with the engine off.
somehow this tube increases the vacuum power in the booster and gives you more assistance unfortunatly i don't know how does it work so i am asking you all about that... the tube does work indeedas i saw it installed on the Mitsubishi Lancer that got MIVEC engine (175 HP) with 75 HP shot of NOS, this tube enabled the stock braking system that is designed for the 1300cc 72 HP car to stop the 250 HP beast.
anyone knows how that tube increases vacuum assitance??

i am considering two options:
the first one is to get it indeed... just need another opinion on it as i don't really give too much weight for opinion i get from people that sell the stuff... you know, no one will say "my product sucks" so i needed feedback from someone i trust. also i have not seen any other manufacturers make such tube so that makes me wonder if it is not a good idea that grabed no intrest from other manufacturers.
the second one is to build one myself... i think i am capable of doing it but i need to know how it works, the pic it is not very discriptive as it shows just a tube so i don't know if their is something inside it and whatnot. if it ends up to be just a tube to create extra vacuum space then i can make those for 1% of the price listed on the simota site.

after investigation and serach... i came to realize that it is just a hollow tube that increases the vacuum area and thus giving more assistance to the brake process
now spending 32USD on a hollow tube is not like me at all... i will probably go custom and make myself one, my question is: can you go too big on that tube that a light press on the pedal will cause the car to acutally brake itself under excessive vacuum power?
my concern is that my custom tube be too big and creating too much vacuum force that once the OEM booster starts to work the excessive vacuum will do all the braking power and the car will come to a hault on its own... can this happen with too big tube???

indeed... it makes it easier by utilizing the pressure difference between the back of the booster's diaphragm (ambient pressure) and the pressure at the front of the booster's diaphragm (negative pressure or vacuum) and that puts some force on the master cylinder when you press the pedal and that causes the light feel of brakes
lets say you need 10 Newton pf pressure on the brakes pedal to operate the brakes, the booster puts some 7 Newton on the brake master and that leaves only 3 Newton for your foot to produce in order to brake... of corse those are all hypothetical numbers
my concern is if the vacuum tube was too big that it creates some 12 Newton of force... once the vacuum on the back of the diaphragm is vented you got 12 Newton applied on the master and it will literally suck the master and cause the car to brake to a halt on its own.
I am not sure if that is the real case or if this situation is realistic or not but still it is a concern... try to imagine a car at a halt on a 60 mile speed limit high way... CATASTROPHY!
can this scenario happen with over sized tube??

well... the pedal got heavyer with the bigger master and i love to have a light pedal... i recon i'd have to get the measurments of that tube and stick to those measurments then do some testing on an empty road to be 100% sure it works fine
