Don't deal with brake conversions. but maybe the pressure between the two rotors and the two drums in back are not equal. I don't know if our cars use any kind of proportioning valve or not but maybe the 1.6's got a larger one and the one factory on your car can't keep the pressure regulated now?

the 1.5 and 1.6 got proportional valves for the rear drums however i haven't changed the master cylinder up till now.
only thing i suspected is the brake line to the front left wheel... it is longer than the one on the right side but i suppose if this is going to affect the brake balance then it should be the other way round - lock at right wheel - as their is more pressure loss at the longer left hose.

more feedback...
i have noticed that the premature lock varies with road surface... when their is an upward bump the front left tire seems to be braking more... also at hard braking only the locking seems to occure
this makes me think of another cause for the problem... the extra lenghty brake line at the locking wheel... ok the length itself might not be the problem but how i fitted the line mught be
you see... the extra length was causing the line to rub against the wheel so i used a zip tie to hold the line against the shock absorberand it did the trick to avoid rubbing
i recon the line is too twisted under the current setup and with the suspension beeing compressed under braking and/or upward bumps it would squeez the line and force the brakes fluid to push the wheel master further and brake the left wheel more... is this a logical finding? can this be the real case i am facing?
i just hit a speed bump badly because of this as i have this flaw in my driving where i don't press more on the brakes pedal once i hear the wheels locked so i was going on a bit downhill road and found a speedbump ahead and when i braked hard the left locked as usual and i didn't brake more causing the car to keep on going with a fully smoaking left wheel till i hit the bump and the car was air born and hit its nose on the landing... no damages whatsoever thank God
and you guys give me your feedback on this brake line squeazing theory?

Well if it kinks the pipe ever so slightly when it hits a bump it would do the opposite. It would let less through. I know people who buy rear wheel drive cars for fun/drifting type of stuff, and they basically crimp the back brake lines more so less braking is applied to the rear when you stab the brakes, causing it to upset the balance more, making it easier to get the tail out. Or for doing burnouts.
Glad you didnt damage your car though m8. I dont know what your problem might be in all honesty.. sorry man.

found out that the problem was due to the different length brake hoses that i was using... modded the OEM lanos hose and installed it... wheel lockup is gone.
