i saw 18" on nubira... can't see why they won't fit on an optra... just make sure the rims got the correct offset and bolt pattern
best tire size to avoid speedo errors is 225/30/18
with the above rim/tire size the car height will not be changed

Re: Can you fit 18' rims on 04 Optra
I had 18" rims on my Optra 5.... but I ordered the wrong tire size by accident so they rubbed.
If I had ordered the right size of 18" tire it would have been just fine

Here is the link to my rims and how they looked, technically they are still for sale.

18s will fit just fine but be careful what offset you choice as that will make all the difference in the World. Type "wheel offset calculator" on google.com and I think it's discounttire(direct) that I like and use your OEM offset as a guide. Also width of the wheels matters too. 7" is good though you can fit 7.5" if your a little more careful. Offset should be around +38 if I remember right but don't hold me on that, it's been awhile.
Oh and everything I'm saying will work with 1.6" lowering all around from Apexi springs. If you want to go lower you'll have to go with coil-overs but plan on paying $1200+. I still have a set of apexi 1.6" down springs if you're interested. I bought them to replace some random lowering springs I bought that didn't end up fitting my Reno well then had a great month financially and got coil-overs.
Remember the 30 (sidewall) is 30% of the 225 (width) so 30% of 225 is different from 215 or if it's 205/35/18 it's 35% of 205. I think 205/35/18 is as close to stock you can get with 18"s while having good tire choices. 215/35 works too and has allot more tire choices and probably better prices for better tires. There are calculators for that as well that are really easy to use, just do a search and type in your current tire size with what you want and it'll tell you how off your speedo is. Either way if you want performance you can get away with 225/35 on a 18x7.5 if you're careful with the offset. Also I recommend 35% sidewall even if your speedo is slightly off (just keep that in mine and calc what it's off by) as there aren't many 205-225/30 tire choices and 30 is really small and will kill your ride quality.MMamdouh wrote:i saw 18" on nubira... can't see why they won't fit on an optra... just make sure the rims got the correct offset and bolt pattern

Re: Can you fit 18' rims on 04 Optra
i do have a small executable file where you input the OEM tire/rim measurements and save it then you input the desired rim/tire size and see the difference... or in another approach you can input the rim size and tire width and let it calculate the appropriate profile based on the OEM settings
