roughly a month ago my fuel gage stopped working after i put my tach in [shorted something out?]
so two days ago i decided to look around at my connections, fuses and relays because my cars all gutted anyway.[renovations]
a little while later, i go to start my car, and my headlights don't work.
here's a summary of my problem
ride: 2002 Daewoo Lanos
-headlights don't work
-dashlights don't work
-tail-lights don't work
[breaklights and signal lights work]
and the DRL[daytime running lights] light remains on, no matter what function my headlight switch is set to.
also, the high beams work when i pull/flick the headlight switch [left-beside steering wheel lever]
but when i push the lever, to make it go in permanent 'on' position, they don't work.
now i checked a whole bunch of my connections, checked/swapped my relays and check all my fuses.
i will be so happy if someone can shine some light on this situation [pun very much intended]
thank you
-simon

Re: something weird with my headlights... grr
you put tach in... did you go from the stock cluster without a tach to the stock cluster WITH a tach? or, did you just mount an aftermarket tach?
it really just sounds like a short and unfortunaely that's just something that will have to be chased.
do you have the fuse box cover off inside the car? you did say you checked the fuses, but, when I had my cover off I would kick the fuse box from time to time getting in the car and cause issues.
