I got them used anyways, but with very low miles on them. I playied with them and everything and they're in nearly perfect condition. The dealer wanted $800 for one outer tie rod cuz they would only sell the whole rack and pinion.
I got the whole rack & pinion used with probably under 10k miles on it for $70
