hi , did the paper clip obd code puller , and it came up with code 15 via the flashing check light.
15 Coolant Temperature Sensor (CTS) - signal voltage is high
on 1998 nubira 1.6 dohc.
should i just replace the sensor , or look for any thing else that may be causing it ?

Hi,
Check that the connector is correctly set. You can wiggle the harness to see if error disappears. Or if you have a DVM you can measure the resitor value directly at the sensor. But it is a hard to reach sensor.
BTW we suppose that error flashing code 15 is between two "normal codes" 12.

That's just fine! Cooling is very efficient on our Daewoo.turbo1600 wrote:hi,. bought a new coolant sensor , and fixed the problem.....

I'll say! I blew my thermostat housing a few years ago Ithe original plastic one), in the summer. I stopped every few minutes to top off the coolant, thinking I would have to do that to nurse it home. After while I realized the temp never really got more than slightly higher than normal, as long as I was moving and air was going over the engine. If I hit a red light i just shut down. I ended up driving over an hour, at about 55 mph with absolutely no problem. I ordered the replacement housing, making sure it was metal, and replaced the thermostat as a precaution and have not had a problem.
