I've always liked Clarion and there is one in my Porsche. :)
The other brands I really like are Eclipse, Nakamichi, the Pioneer Premier line, and the upper end Panasonics. There are a few Kenweek Excelon units that are good, too.

Yes, it is time for a new head unit in my Leganza, too. The preset stations buttons are not working and I have to really press hard to make them work.
You ask: "But what about fixing it, Cliff?" (LOL)
I know I could take the radio apart and clean the contacts, but I would rather put in a new unit that plays MP3s and is Sirius satellite radio tuner ready.

I agree with all of the above. A new head unit will be cheaper than thrying to get the current one fixed. Unless you can find a used one.

I recently installed a Panasonic MP3 XM ready deck into my Lanos and I am very impressed. Apart from looking very good in my dash, it is well built and has excellent sound quality. It also has ample power if you don't plan to run an amp.

It was something like $120 (After price drop and rebate) from Cardomain.com and it came with an install kit, wiring harness, and everything else you might need.

It seriously isnt' worth it to fix the old CD Player. Get a new one and you will be very glad that you did.
