Manual AC Unit & Automatic AC Unit Interchangeable

Post by ejay2938 »

Need to know can I switch out these 2 units. I have the manual and wanted to install the automatic AC unit, but they have different connections. Is this possible, or am I wasting my time? :x

I also wasn't aware there was a difference, but I do know that Daewoo did some kind of swapping with the AC units and those of the earlier years are not interchangeable with those of the later years. I don't think it has anything to do with your transmission.

I know because I bought an AC compressor for my old Lanos and it ended up being the wrong one, even if it was pulled from a Lanos. Just make sure the part numbers match up.

My Leganza is an SX model with the AC buttons that I have to turn for comfort selections, I brought another AC unit out of a CDX model Leganza and the unit has push buttons instead of the turn buttons and also an automatic climate control. The connections at the back are different, Is there any way I can switch these two models out.

OOOOOOOOHHHHHHH!

I misunderstood. I thought you were talking about the compressor, not the control unit itself.

I think you'll have to change the wiring harness. It'll be a pain, but it's doable.
