Lanos Driver's Seat - moving it back?

Post by Nkat »

Gentlemen,
A friend of mine in the UK has just provided a very low mileage Lanos to his son in Cardiff as a first car. Problem is, the lad is 6 foot 3 tall and says the seat won't go back far enough.
I am in HK and can't help and they are auto-illiterate.
Has anyone on the forum had experience of this problem? Is there a safe and easy fix - for example a set of factory-provided runner mounting holes further back in the floorpan? Or a factory-genuine set of longer runnners that can be bolted in? If not, does anyone have another idea and someone in that area who could help young James?
Many thanks,
NKat.

I think the only way is to drill 4 new holes, about 2 inch back on the floor and mount the whole seat assembly there.

Maybe a Dodge Ram would be great too ;-)
