Air Con Removal??

Post by Banginman »

Hi.
Is it possible to remove the air condition system from a 98 lanos 1.6 as it doesn't work and the radiator is falling apart!
Living in UK I can live without it,for the cost it would be to repair it.
Greatful for any suggestions.
Thankyou

Yup, feel free to remove it!

You can get the compressor, condenser, and pressure lines out in a few hours.

Wont you need a new belt? Doesnt it run off the power steering belt?

Nope, no new belt required.

AC belt on a Lanos 1.6 is standalone off of the crank pulley. Can be removed with no problem.

Same goes for the 1350 and 1500 SOHC

the 1600 Nubira however runs on a single belt for all accessories
