LOL ... true, but I think he was referring to being able to turn them on with the stock fog light switch in the dash with the headlight being off without using an aftermarket switch.

fernand187pr ... I would suggest using the cigarette lighter power wire (ignition switched power) to use as a turn-on lead to a relay.

When the car is on, the cigarette lighter has power, so the lead you connect to it will turn on the power relay & let the fog lights be on without the headlights being on.

Yes, you will be able to turn it on & off any time you want while the car is running, or the ignition is in the 'accessory' or 'on' position.

With it connected there, the lights will go off when you take the key out so the battery will not get run down.

I would have to say this could be an easy fix.

I looked at the wiring diagram and it could be done quite easily if you had some experience with wiring.

Here it goes.....this is the general diagram...

Power comes into the Dimmer and Passing switch from the Head Lamp Relay via a blue wire.

This power is switched between the high beams and low beams.

The power goes through the "low" switch connection into a light green wire.

This light green wire then gets spliced into three different light green wires.

One of these three light green wires then goes up to the fog light on/off switch in your dash.

From there a brown wire is attached to the other side of the "on" section of the switch and the power flows up to the fog light relay

So when you have the lights on "low" and the fog light switch "on" the power goes up to the fog light relay which then sends power to the fog lights.

The only way to make the fog lights to go on is to do something like TheGreatAndPowerfulOz said and run power off the cigarette lighter.

You would pop out the fog light on/off switch and cut the incoming light green wire about 2 or 3 inches from the switch.

You would then very carefully wrap the wire coming from the wiring loom (not the 3 inch piece coming from the switch) with electrical tape to ensure that you don't have a loose wire that could potentially short out your lighting system.

So then you would find the power wire from the cigarette lighter (couldn't find the wire color for some reason)

You would get a "wire splice" connector and splice in a wire which you would then run to the fog light on/off switch.

You would attach this wire to the 3" green wire on this switch and you are done.

It may sound hard but I could probably do it in less than 10 minutes.

So again...cut light green wire off fog light on/off switch and attach it to the power wire for the cigarette lighter.

Even if your not sure how to do it I suggest you print off my instructions so that someone with wiring experience can do it for you.

Hope this helps.....good luck
