2000 Leganza SX!! UPDATED TAKE A look

Post by AlexzLeganza »

OK Im slowly getting this beautiful car back on its wheels. I got everything working except for the CD player which i have concluded that is screwed! Well i have got everything working in my Leganza now. I love this car, its so neat. I have the only Daewoo in my town and evEryone stops and takes time to try to figure out what it is. Ive even had ppl ask if it was a Mercedes?? (I was like O...K, where'd you get that?) Anyway I wanted to post what i found out what was wrong with my BRAKE LIGHTS AND SHIFT LOCK. I checked all the fuses and relays those were all good. so i got a tip from one of the Daewootech.com members to check the switch thats attached to the brake pedal. i did that and it wouldnt work.

Tip: do not try to interchange the switches from newer or older cars, because i have a 2001 parts leganza and they are totaly different....how messed up is that.

Anyway I took the switch apart and put it back together again and it started working. SO if your brake lights or shift lock ever stops working check the switch, because somethime the spring on the inside gets stuck in the pressed position and it will not depress. Thats what was wrong with mine.
Hope this helps someone later in the future. Because it was a pain to me. LOL
