Highbeams stuck on!

I drive a 2000 nubira cdx and my courtesy lights are stuck on. i believe the switch is broken, at least the part that pull back toward the driver to flash the hibeams. I've been turning my lights on and off at the fuse box (gets so annoying, "sure babe, we can go back to my place, lemme pop the hood to turn my headlights on!") Is there a separate wire on the switch that i can cut to disable the courtesy light switch or do i have to disconect the whole deal and make my own?

i am not 100% sure, heck not even 50%, but it is all together in a harness, but you would either have to replace the hibeam swithch box in the steriing wheel or just find the wires and make your own little button. i don't have a clue wich colored wire it is or exactly how tofind out. if i can come up with a diagram, i will let you know.
