Cargo cultism is a beautiful thing as long as you never fall for it.
dang dude that really sux. see thats why when i drink and know i have to drive i do it in the country or somewhere in the stix. i say save the money that you won't be using for gas or anything and just keep hookin up the woo. that way you'll have something to look forward to when you do get your license back.

Omg you idiot.
You get no sympathy from me at all for that. You are lucky that it was a police officer that stopped you and not hitting another car or a person. I don't care how "in control" you thought you were or if you only had "a few drinks". If a police officer pulled you over and you had drunk enough to get banned for a year you were not in control!!
540 people die a year in the UK because of drink drivers, I knew one myself. Thankfully you did not add to that figure.
Now you have 12/16 months to think about what you did, and why you will never do it again.

it sucks that you lost your liscense, but i agree with norbie, driving after you have been drinking is just plain stupid. i have never and will never drink and drive. you are very lucky that yo didnt hurt some one or your self. my father hit a parked car while driving drunk and he was doing about 120 mhp in a full size pickup truck, luckly there wasnt any one in the car cause he hit it so hard they were literaly fussed together. and that "all cos of a few drinks" line you said, thats all it takes. im glad you didnt hurt any one but i have lost ALL respect for you. and nick, just cause your in the woods or in he sticks dont make it any better, you could just as easly kill some one too
you should have known better... drinking and driving never mix
anyways glad that it ended this way rather than any other tragic end, i hope you learned your lesson.
